The data on regionalist parties comprise electoral strength for regionalist parties in national and regional elections and ideological positions on the centre-periphery, left-right and European integration dimensions of political competition for the period 1945-2010.
Electoral strength
This dataset provides total regionalist party strength for 227 regionalist parties competing regional and national elections in 329 regions in 18 countries between 1944 and 2010. Here you can download data for national and regional elections and a legend. More detail on the identification of regionalist parties, coding schemes on ideological positions, secondary literature and websites which we consulted to code parties, and so forth, is provided in the appendix.

Ideology scores
This dataset provides ideology scores and vote and seat shares for 77 regionalist parties competing in regional and national in 11 countries between 1945 and 2010.
